Dr. Mzomwe Yahya Mazana

Ms. Mzomwe Yahya Mazana is a seasoned lecturer at the College of Business Education department of ICT and mathematics, Dar es Salaam campus, with over 24 years of experience in higher education. Her teaching portfolio includes business mathematics, computing mathematics, discrete mathematics, quantitative techniques, e-business, and computer applications.
In addition to her academic work, Ms. Mazana is an experienced trainer, consultant, and mentor, particularly focused on empowering women, youth entrepreneurs, and early-career researchers. She has published extensively in reputable journals and conferences, with research interests spanning e-learning, mathematics education, social media in education, gender and entrepreneurship, STEM education, and special needs education.
Ms. Mazana holds a Bachelor of Science with Education from the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), a master’s degree in Information Processing from Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland), a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modelling from the University of Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Educational Technologies) from the University of Eastern Finland (Finland).
