Prof. Pawel Pasierbiak
Editorial Member
Dr. hab. Paweł Pasierbiak, Associate Professor at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland (UMCS), is Head of the Department of World Economy and European Integration and Deputy Director of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie-Skłodowska, Sectio H – Oeconomia. His research focuses on international economics, regional economic integration, and Asia-Europe cooperation, with particular attention to East Asian economies, global value chains, and the Indo-Pacific region.
Prof. Pasierbiak is the author of numerous publications on Japan, South Korea, China, ASEAN, and East Asian regionalism. He has participated in major international projects, including the Jean Monnet Network SPEAC (Erasmus+), and held a fellowship at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). As a visiting scholar and lecturer, he has taught and delivered lectures at universities and research institutions in the United States (George Washington University, Gannon University), Japan (Kanagawa and Teikyo Universities), South Korea (Ewha Womans University), Spain (Universidad de Málaga), Germany (Universität Kassel), and Tanzania (Jordan University College).
He is a member of several academic associations, including the Academy of International Business (AIB), the European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS), the Polish European Community Studies Association (PECSA), the Polish Trade Study Group (PTSG), and the Polish Economic Society (PTE). He also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Global and Area Studies (South Korea) and the Journal of Economic Integration (South Korea). His academic activity combines research, publishing, teaching, and international cooperation, contributing to the development of economic studies in both European and global contexts.
